Raymond Paterek, Vice President of New Wave People, and Patrick Maher from the recruitment team had the pleasure of attending the Annual Albany GovBUY event at Empire Plaza.

This event, a cornerstone for connecting professionals in the public procurement space, provided the perfect opportunity for our team to meet familiar voices in person.

As a staffing firm specializing in placing candidates in state and government roles, much of our interaction with candidates and partners occurs via phone calls, emails, and texts. The GovBUY event gave us a chance to strengthen relationships and put faces to the names we’ve worked with for years.

Memorable moments at GovBUY:

Raymond Paterek Meets Lynn Andrews

Lynn has coordinated numerous hiring cycles with New Wave People, helping us place talented candidates into vital state positions.

Patrick Maher also had the pleasure of connecting with Lynn Andrews. Their collaboration over the years has fostered a strong professional relationship built on trust and shared success.

Patrick and Niajina have been working together for over two years. Not only has their partnership brought great results, but Patrick also had the unique experience of helping Niajina’s older sister land a state job prior to working with Niajina.

Building Connections That Matter

Events like the Albany GovBUY remind us of the importance of personal connections in our field. Seeing familiar faces and hearing success stories firsthand reaffirms our commitment to supporting candidates and state partners in achieving their goals.

New Wave People is proud to continue fostering strong relationships with organizations and individuals across New York State. We look forward to many more successful collaborations in the years ahead.
